If you stop eating for a short period of time, many people believe it will help them be more successful as they strive to slim down. Others try fasting to lose a set amount of weight quickly. Many of these programs restrict all intake of food for a period of time. There are also programs that allow for a very limited amount of food or other supplements. A conservative fasting program under the supervision of a qualified health care professional may be an effective solution to losing weight.

C. After completing a program, think about what you are going to eat. Try a smaller meal first. Continue to eat small snacks at first and gradually work your way up to your full meals that you are used to.
After a fast, be careful how you eat. A person gains weight because of the choices they make. Any one who continues to follow a lifestyle that is full of these types of decisions will struggle with weight issues. You will find yourself searching for another diet.
