You filling out a form and mailing it to the office of the commissioner of probation in Boston.

Can you tell me how long this may take? You wouldn’t get any waiting period, but you would have to produce details showing that a “compelling governmental interest” is present, or some other genuine causes for sealing the record. A good reason could be that the charges are preventing you from finding employment or housing.
