Forgiving Yourself – Living A Life Of Freedom

One particular morning as I sat on a seashore appreciating a fantastic sun rising I became overwhelmed by God’s forgiveness. It was indeed just as if the shades in the sun rising were revealing to me His limitless forgiveness in my life. I started to picture just how flawed I’d been, my continual need of His forgiveness plus the hurt I’ve caused Him by way of the sin inside my life.

Recalling scripture that God not simply forgives, He forgets all my wrong doing; forgiving as well as forgetting. I thought of the forgetting plus realizing just how astounding as well as very difficult to grasp that He forgets. It was overwhelming considering the way we fall so short in forgiving other people in addition to ourself plus He not only forgives He simply does not know of our former forgiven wrongs. Then the word surrender took over. If I am so flawed and also in this kind of need of forgiveness and you are so willing to provide me grace; how come I want to be in control of me as well as someone else?

Your Heavenly Father so wants for you to be wholly free of your hurt, pain, wounds and downfalls in your life. God hopes to set you free to live a life beyond your imagination.

God’s Forgiveness

You don’t need to continue to beat yourself up over your sin. God loves you so much He sent His Son to die on the cross for every sin we have committed as well as ever will commit.

When you sin once again, and you will, you’ll be able to confess these sins once again and receive forgiveness.

He who conceals his sins does not prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy.
Proverb 28:13 NIV

God’s forgiveness is provided by means of Jesus without any ranting, absolutely no unpleasant looks, no sly remarks, just perfect forgiveness. His forgiveness is calm, guaranteeing and also rich in His love. He is waiting to forgive you!

Have you forgiven yourself?

God has forgiven you, now it’s your move. Have you previously listened to the tune “What Sin?”

The heaviest thing you’ll carry
Is a load of guilt and shame.
You were never meant to bear them
So let them go in Jesus name.
Our God is slow to anger
Quick to forgive our sin
So let Him put them under the blood
Don’t bring them up again.
Cause He’ll just say,
What sin, what sin?

The heaviest thing you will ever carry is actually that load of guilt and shame. The song says to you that you just weren’t designed to bear your own sins, they had been put under the blood of Jesus. He died for your sin, so do not bring them up once again. It is irrelevant what you may have done, if you have confessed and also turned away, then you’re forgiven plus your sin is without a doubt forgotten. You are free to live. So how exactly does God show us to live?

So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature.
